After the first complete discharge, it did not recharge. After some time in the drawer, it did recharge once more. That was it. Can't comment on battery life with only two experiments, charge level seemed to top at 88% according to battery info app. Maybe a defective item, maybe they skimped on discharge protection to fit the extra battery life. It's quite amazing they beat HTC by some 30% charge in exactly the same package. Didn't work for me.

My wife has a G1, and we noticed the battery life (which wasn't great to begin with) had dropped off sharply. It wouldn't last an hour or so of active use. I ordered this battery based on its higher capacity than the stock battery, and received it. We've had the new battery a few months now, and the improvement is night and day. Unlike another reviewer, we haven't seen a decrease in capacity over a few weeks. In fact, it seems a few weeks of use increased the capacity, and it's been great ever since. It costs more than a stock battery, but the improvement to the phone was well worth the investment. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

works great, but just have to condition it properly, and charge it up to its full potential, and wtih power management programs it can last for days. one thing i knotice is that its power levels drops dramatically alot faster when power is reaching below 15 percent. could have just bought a extra batter for 8 bucks to last through out the day, if not lazy like me.

What more can I say, I wanted to like it but it doesn't even last as long as the default G1 battery. I'm lucky to have it run 3/4 of a day.

My purely subjective results are that this battery delivers twice the standby time of the battery that comes with the G1. Instead of being down to 50% by noon, it's still at 80%. And after forgetting to plug it in overnight, I still had 20% power left in the morning.
