The life of this battery is much longer than the battery life of the original OEM battery. The milliamp rating on this battery would indicate that it should last almost twice as long as the OEM battery, but I swear that it seems to last about 3 times longer than the original. The larger battery size actually makes it more comfortable to hold the phone if you have larger hands. I had to replace the original Motorola battery that came with my phone before it was a year old. Fortunately, Motorola had determined that those batteries were defective, and replaced it free even though the original warranty had expired. That replacement is still good, but I needed longer battery life when traveling. I cannot comment on the durability of the battery as I've only had it for a month but, so far, the performance has been great.

A heavy user should easily make it through an entire day without recharging. A casual user may get a week of service without recharging. Contrary to other reviews we've seen, there have been no problems related to false low battery signals or of any other type. As for the size and shape of the phone with larger battery and extended case, our experiences have all been positive. The extra size and heft make the phone easier to use. (People who prefer to carry the phone in their pocket may find this configuration more awkward, but phone pouch or purse users should have no problems.) The performance per dollar and the extra convenience for the price both make this a wise purchase and good bargain. We wish extended battery packs were available for all cell phone models... as original purchase options!

I was so happy to get this battery in, because my old one wasn't even lasting a day when I didn't talk on it. It started out only needing to be charged every other day, and over the past 3 months has started needing charging nightly. Today, about 3 months after purchasing it, in spite of having been charged last night and only being used for 3 short phone calls, it started dying.

Are these refurbished or just old batteries?? It was a cheap quick fix, but now it's time to go to Verizon and buy one that'll last.

I thought being an OEM battery this would be better than the cheaper ones. I was wrong. After letting the battery discharge completely when I received it, I charged it for an entire weekend. even though the charge showed full charge it died in the middle of a business conversation. It didn't even blink or give any kind of warning before just shutting off the phone. Thinking it might have just been a glitch of some sort, I put it on my car charger for 5 hours while I used my employee's phone. After 3 minutes of use the same thing happenned. Obviously a defective battery. Since my time to a UPS store or USPS is more valuable than the ten bucks I wasted, I guess I'll just toss the thing in the garbage and order a cheap one instead.

Contacted the vendor with questions about both issues. Only said the battery was new and they "test" it before sending it, which is why it was partially charged.



Had to write again to ask about how long to charge it the first time. Vendor not adequately answer the question.



Now, having had the battery less than 2 weeks, it is not holding the charge well and already needs to be charged every other day.
